I took time off from blogging and writing. I'm not sure why I did it, but I needed it. Now it's time to come back, but with a different agenda.
My name is Brittany. I'm one of the most outspoken people you will ever meet on the internet. I love to laugh. I love reading and writing. I love Netflix and laying around in high-waisted leggings all day. I love my friends and family. I love spending time with those close to me. I have a degree and a career. I have a great head on my shoulders. I come from a loving, educated, Christian family. I'm "the girl next door."
Except that's what I want you to see. Those are the walls I put up. The persona I hide behind. We all do this, but I want to stop. I want everyone to know who I am and to know that it is okay to not be perfect.
I've been considering this idea for a while, and I decided to go for it. In the near future, I will post my personal story on here. After that, I want to be open about my about my struggles and I want to help people. I'm doing this because I thought something was wrong with me. I didn't know anyone else had the issues that I am faced with daily. I want people to know that our battles are common, and together, we can overcome them together. You can always turn to me for help and support.
